Since 1979, we have produced and funded diverse programs that celebrate our community's cultural richness. With support from the City of Grand Prairie, we bring together artists and audiences through year-round events and performances. The Grand Prairie Arts Council is an independent, non-profit cultural arts organization. GPAC was incorporated in January 1979 to produce, promote and support the visual and performing arts in Grand Prairie. 65% of GPAC`s funding comes from theatre production revenues, patron memberships, donations and grants; supporting year-round community arts programs.
The Arts Council is managed by a Chief Operations Officer, the Chief Financial Officer, and the volunteer Board of Directors. The Grand Prairie Arts Council is proud to be supported by the City of Grand Prairie but is not part of the city government.
